Variable Speed Capacity Control |
Coaire Variable Speed Drive compressors offer the capability to perfectly match compressor capacity to system demand; motor speed is slowed down or sped up in order to meet plant air demand. As air demand decreases, the controller lowers the delivered air flow reducing power consumption.? When the air discharge pressure falls to a set load activation pressure, the compressor motor revs up to demand and slows when the set point pressure is met. The benefits of this design are soft and progressive start/stops; potential reduction of the number of start/stop cycles. Soft progressive starting requires significantly less initial power-on current than other compressors. |

Promotes Longer Motor and Compressor Life |
Soft starts reduce the stress a motor endures when powering a compressor, increasing parts life expectancy. |
