Unique rotor

The Coaire rotor, the most important part of the screw air compressor, has an improved rotor tip, and a highly efficient rotor profile (5+7 lobe combination) .
The improved rotor design provides high performance, high efficiency, low noise and low vibration.

Air-End assembly

Premium airend has superior bearing configuration and offers a higher level of finish quality on the rotor surfaces. Coaire's rotors are surface ground for an extremely smooth finish. This allows for a closer tolerance between the rotor surfaces thereby improving efficiency and sound characteristics. The benefits are longer bearing life plus smoother and quieter operation.

Bearings

Coaire's airend utilizes two cylindrical roller bearings and two angular contact ball bearings on each rotor. A total of eight bearings per airend. The cylinderical roller bearings are located on each end(drive and nondrive) of the rotor. With the rotors supported at both ends, an equal load distribution is obtained across the entire length of the rotor surface. In addition, the angular contact ball bearings are allowed to deal strictly with the thrust loading which is their main design function.
